Imagine waiting in line and being stuck behind Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge in Toppers (as we like to call it). We'd no doubt want to touch that glossy mane of hers, well wouldn't you? We just love the fact that she patiently waited her turn, we bet you she doesn't huff and puff like we do!

Thankfully the cashier, or the nosy shopper behind, took note of K-Mid's purchases and here they are Cosmo readers. You can look but you can't touch! Why? They're sold out of course, this is the K-Mid high-street effect.

Kate opted for a teal pencil skirt covered in black polka dots, it's very on-trend sweetie darling, mainly because of the mid-length hemline (well it was never going to be a mini was it?).

The second item she brought was a velvet-trim boucle jacket, it's cobalt blue – obviously, it is her favourite colour! The plus side is it cost her a mere £65. The girl has good taste!

She also brought a simple pair of feather earrings, and the best thing? She left a second pair of £8.50 earrings at the till. See! She has till-guilt too.

But what was K-Mid like? 'She was low-key and casual – she seemed so normal,' the Topshop staffer who served her told People magazine. 'She was really chilled out despite some customers in the queue behind her saying, "Oh my God, it's her" and pointing – she didn't seem fazed by it all and she was really sweet.'

So Kate has rocked Topshop, Warehouse, Whistles and of course Reiss, where will she go to next? Don't say Primarni, we can't imagine the riot it would cause.
